LUBBOCK, Texas — Salvation Army celebrated National Salvation Army Week with events across the South Plains, according to a press release.

The store provided free lunch to the community on Tuesday in Plainview, Thursday in Levelland and Friday in Lubbock. Salvation Army also had sales throughout the week to celebrate.

Salvation Army Week was first established in 1954 as a reminder to Americans to give.
