Holland Theatre, Logan County’s nonprofit performing arts center, has announced its Holland Presents 2024-2025 Season, featuring music, theater, free community programs, family events, and more.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13. Tickets are available online at TheHolland.org, by phone at 937-592-9002, or in person at Box Office, 127 E Columbus Ave, Bellefontaine, OH 43311. Box Office hours are Tuesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 1 to 5 p.m.

• Broadway in Love- 7:30 p.m. October 7-Discover the laughter, the thrills, and the chills of Broadway’s greatest songs as shared by real-life Broadway married couple Libby Servais (Glinda from Broadway’s “Wicked”) and Stephan Stubbins (from Broadway’s “Mary Poppins”). Prepare to be swept off your feet by Broadway in Love, the concert experience that’s been exhilarating audiences around the country. Tickets: $20–$30
• Windmill Productions: Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner- 7:30 p.m. September 14 | 2 p.m. September 15- Matt and Christina Drayton are a couple living in San Francisco. It is 1967 when their daughter Joanna arrives home unexpectedly with Dr. John Prentice, an African-American doctor eleven years her senior. They’re in love and they want the Draytons’ blessing for their marriage – today. Tickets: $12 / 17 and under: $5
• Malachi Jaggers- 7:30 p.m. September 19- Malachi’s songs blow modern country music backward invoking nostalgic feelings of historic family ties, railroads, and heartland America. He’s forging his own brand of hopeful, relatable Americana, pulling from personal experience to connect with audiences on a deeply human level. Tickets: $15-$25
• Greg and Dana Newkirk’s Haunted Objects LIVE! – 7:30 p.m. September 21- Are you ready to uncover the chilling true stories behind the world’s most haunted objects? Join Greg and Dana Newkirk (Travel Channel’s Kindred Spirits, Amazon Prime’s Hellier) for an interactive presentation that will leave you on the edge of your seat. As two of the world’s only full-time paranormal investigators, the Newkirks have spent their lives collecting and caring for cursed artifacts, possessed dolls, and other creepy artifacts said to display supernatural activity. Tickets: $20-$50
• Etta May- 7:30 p.m. September 26-Winner of the prestigious American Comedy Awards “Comic of the Year,” this Kentucky woman is a comedy icon! Hailed as the “Polyester Princess,” the reigning Queen of Southern Sass delivers a G-rated, high-powered, take-no-prisoners performance full of truth, irony, humor, and wisdom. Tickets: $20-$35
• Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters- 7:30 p.m. October 1- Formed in 2007, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalog of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences which, most importantly, includes the rock and roll of the 1960’s. Listening to The Boxmasters, one can hear obvious odes to the Beatles, Byrds, Beach Boys, The Mothers of Invention, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, and Big Star. Tickets: $40-$60
• Artrageous – Family Event!- 7:30 p.m. October 6- Holland Theatre and LoCo Art present this outrageous art and music circus: the ONLY show where you can witness the fusion of live art, rock concert, imaginative movement, vocal performance, comedy, blacklight Bunraku, Artpunk wear, and inclusion in one magical experience. Prepare to be swept away on a tide of artistic immersion like never before with the Artrageous Show! The Artrageous experience transcends the traditional confines of a show. It’s the ultimate immersive family experience that invites you to step into the canvas of imagination. Tickets: $20-$30, $5 (17 and under)
• The Birds – Holland Free Movie Series- 7 p.m. October 31- Director Alfred Hitchco*ck’s apocalyptic, allegorical thriller centers on an avian assault on a California coastal town. Melanie Daniels is the modern rich socialite, part of the jet-set who always gets what she wants. When lawyer Mitch Brenner sees her in a pet shop, he plays something of a practical joke on her, and she decides to return the favor. She drives about an hour north of San Francisco to Bodega Bay, where Mitch spends the weekends with his mother Lydia, and younger sister Cathy. Soon after her arrival, however, the birds in the area begin to act strangely. (PG-13) Tickets required: Free
• Jason Petty’s Hank & My Honky Tonk Heroes: 100 Years of Hank Williams- 7:30 p.m. November 8-Jason Petty celebrates Hank Williams’s 100th birthday with his critically acclaimed tribute, “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes.” Williams penned over 400 country songs depicting the trials and tribulations of the common man and woman. Among his timeless classics are Hey Good Lookin’, Your Cheatin’ Heart, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, Jambalaya and I Saw The Light. Tickets: $25-$40
• Luca Stricagnoli- 7:30 p.m. November 8- Mesmerizing Italian acoustic guitarist Luca Stricagnoli appears for the first time at the Holland. His jaw-dropping virtuosity includes playing up to five guitars at the same time. His repertoire, performed on double and triple neck guitars he himself designed, includes a blend of popular songs from contemporary rock, film scores, and mind-bending originals. Tickets: $20-$30
• One Christmas Night in Memphis- 7:30 p.m. November 21-Imagine Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, and Jerry Lee Lewis gathered around some yuletide and singing their legendary hit songs, and also merrily singing everyone’s favorite holiday songs including but not limited to “Jingle Bell Rock,” “White Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland”, “Run, Run, Rudolph,” “Blue Christmas,” and many more. It’s 90 minutes of rockabilly, country, gospel, and 1950s rock and roll mixed in with some festive holiday classics and presented in a Holly, Jolly fashion! Tickets: $29-$45
• Madcap Puppets: The Nutcracker – Children’s Theater/Families- 2 p.m. December 1- Clara needs a little help from The Nutcracker to keep the Sugarplum Fairy from spoiling their holiday festival. Madcap twists this classic story into a fantastically funny tale, filled with giant puppets, comical characters, and audience participation. Tickets: $5-$10
• West Central Ohio Community Concert Band Holiday Concert – Free Community Event!- 7:30 p.m. December 3- Come enjoy the sounds of the season at this annual FREE concert! Now in its 31st season, the West Central Ohio Community Concert Band is under the direction of Myles Bowers. The all-volunteer band includes amateur musicians, professional musicians, educators, and students hailing from multiple Ohio counties. Tickets for this popular annual event are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets required: Free
• A Swinging Christmas – The Holiday Music of Tony Bennett (Families welcome)- 7:30 p.m. December 13-14- Ring in the holidays with this unforgettable evening of quintessential Tony Bennett songs! Featuring 18 classic holiday tunes plus the standards that made Bennett famous like “Rags to Riches” “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” “The Good Life” and many more! Grab your friends and celebrate the season, Tony Bennett style! Tickets: $25, $5 (17 and under)
• Lima Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Andrew Crust: Bells, Brass & Bows- 3 p.m. December 15- Celebrate the holidays with Bells, Brass & Bows as they bring cherished Christmas films to life. Listen to the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack from The Nightmare Before Christmas, comical tunes from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and the festive music of The Polar Express. Continuing an annual tradition, sing along with sacred hymns and beloved carols, then delight in the concluding piece: Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite. Tickets: $25-$45

2025:

• Windmill Productions: The Wizard of Oz – Youth Edition – Family Event!- 7:30 p.m. February 6 | 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. February 7- Windmill Productions: Local middle schoolers present the classic tale of Dorothy and her loyal companion Toto. They “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” through the Land of Oz, determined to reach the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz will help them get home. Along the way, Dorothy encounters witches (both good and bad), Munchkins, talking trees, and winged monkeys. Their journey to happiness – and self-awareness – is a glowing testament to friendship, understanding, and hope in a world filled with both beauty and ugliness. Tickets: $5-$15
• Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Holland Free Movie Series- 7 p.m. February 14- A much more romantic departure from Truman Capote’s novel of the same name, Breakfast at Tiffany’s has become a hallmark movie about falling in love. It also made Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly a style icon for generations of young girls. The legendary actress plays a fiercely independent young woman who is set on securing her financial future rather than following her heart. When she crosses paths with her new neighbor, a
  burgeoning young writer— who’s also strapped for cash—the two fall for each other. Tickets: Free
• Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters-7:30 p.m. February 15- Celebrate Valentine’s weekend with The Carpenters! Singer and playwright Lisa Rock has compiled a moving tribute to the music and life of Carpenter, and brings it to the stage with her 6-piece backing band. Dedicated to re-creating the true sound of The Carpenters, Rock and her band showcase some of the most memorable songs of the 70s including “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” and of course “Close to You.” Tickets: $25–$35
• The WannaBeatles in Concert- 7:30 p.m. February 22-When it comes to recreating the fun and excitement of the most popular band in music history, THE WANNABEATLES more than live up to their name. The WannaBeatles are Grammy finalists who have appeared on national television and use their multi-instrumental skills to re-create all eras of the Beatles’ songbook. The lads also put their own special stamp on other crowd-pleasing hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s. Tickets: $20-$30
• The All New Wizard of Oz on Ice – Family Event!- 7:30 p.m. March 1 – From the moment the curtain rises, audiences are transported to the whimsical world of Oz, where they’ll encounter familiar characters like the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, each brought to life with captivating choreography and dazzling costumes. But the magic doesn’t stop there – “Wizard of Oz On Ice” is an interactive experience like no other, inviting audience members to join in the adventure and become part of the spectacle themselves. Tickets: $29-$39
• The Drowsy Lads- 7:30 p.m. March 15- Critically acclaimed Irish-American Folk powerhouse, thundered onto the Irish music scene in the US over 15 years ago and have become fan favorites at every turn. Sticking to traditional roots, the Lads bring fire and excitement that is quickly winning over audiences. Ohio brothers John and Daniel McKewen, father and son Phil and Josh Franck, and lifelong friend Bryan Brookes bring to the stage a concoction of “We Dare You to Hold Still” Irish dance tunes as well as a full emotional gamut of songs and good humor. Tickets: $25–$40
• John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band- 7:30 p.m. March 22- Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend with an all-star bluegrass supergroup featuring four legendary, award-winning musicians – John Jorgenson on acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals; Herb Pedersen on banjo, acoustic guitar and vocals; Mark Fain on bass; and Patrick Sauber on acoustic guitar and vocals – delivering bluegrass like no one has ever heard it before. The band’s undeniable live shows have received stellar reviews and have the bluegrass world buzzing. This is the “high lonesome sound” of American roots music at its finest. Tickets: $25-$40
• The Ohio State University Jazz Ensemble – Free Community Event!- 7:30 p.m. March 28-The Ohio State University Jazz Ensemble is the premiere big band in the Ohio State School of Music. Directed by Professor Michael Smith, the ensemble comprises both music majors and highly talented non-majors. Membership is by audition only. The band performs throughout the academic year in the new Timashev Family Music Building on the Ohio State campus, including with headliner guest artists for the annual Ohio State Jazz Festival, now in its 48th year. Tickets Required: Free
• Madcap Puppets: Pinocchio – Children’s Theater/Families- 2 p.m. April 5-Join Geppetto’s beloved puppet on a thrilling quest to become a real boy. Pinocchio is lured into every prank and scheme imaginable as giant puppets and audience participation are woven into this cherished classic tale. Tickets:$5-$10
• Windmill Productions: The Boys from Syracuse- 7:30 p.m. June 20-21 | 2 p.m. June 22- The action takes place in Ephesus, in ancient Greece. Confusion reigns as two sets of identical twins separated at birth end up years later in the town of Ephesus. In a tangled web of preposterous coincidences, wives mistake husbands, servants mistake masters, and townspeople mistake everything in a single hilarious day. Tickets: $5-$25Additional shows will be added throughout the season!
