Through its partnership with Call2Recycle®, a nonprofit battery stewardship program, The Home Depot recycled more than a million pounds of rechargeable batteries in 2016, becoming the first Call2Recycle retail participant in North America to achieve this accomplishment. The Home Depot began offering in-store rechargeable battery collection as a Call2Recycle partner in 2001. Today, stores in nearly 50 states offer this program to customers.
